FLUX 3 Klein FAQ

Answers on model choice, versions, access and licensing.

FLUX 3 Image Klein is Black Forest Labs’ 5.6B open-weights image model, released October 15, 2026. It supports text to image, editing, up to 10 reference images and native 4K. Distilled uses 16 steps at CFG 1 for inference; Base uses 50 steps at CFG 3.5 for fine-tuning and LoRA training. Both require the prompt upsampler. FP8, INT8 and NVFP4 builds provide deployment options. BFL source

Weights are available under the FLUX Kommunity License. Qualifying users and their affiliates with gross annualized revenue under $5M can use it commercially subject to the complete terms. API, hardware and hosting are separate costs: BFL’s official API lists 1K images from $0.009 each. That is not a FastMoroAI Klein price. BFL source

Not yet. The generator here defaults to GPT Image 2 and shows the actual selected model. Its results are not Klein outputs. FLUX 3 Klein is developed by Black Forest Labs; FastMoroAI is not affiliated with BFL.

FLUX 3 Klein has 5.6B generator parameters compared with FLUX.2 [klein] 9B. BFL’s internal evaluation reports gains of 91 Elo in text to image and 70 in editing. These figures are publisher-reported, exclude text encoders from parameter counts, and do not guarantee results for a specific prompt. BFL source

BFL reports INT8 configurations that run with as little as 8GB VRAM. BF16 generator weights are 11.2GB; that is not total pipeline memory. Budget for encoders and PUP separately: BFL’s Diffusers guide notes about 28GB additional GPU memory for the upsampler. Download the matching Hugging Face weights and use the documented Diffusers or ComfyUI workflow. BFL source

Yes. BFL documents the flux-3-image-klein endpoint, with prompt upsampling and resolution-based billing. Output options include 768sq, 1K, 1.5K, 2K and 4K, with aspect ratios from 21:9 to 9:21. Use BFL’s API or its Hugging Face/Diffusers and ComfyUI workflows for Klein itself; FastMoroAI has not connected this endpoint. BFL source

Compare your own prompts, reference tasks and deployment constraints. BFL’s published comparison lists 5.6B generator parameters for Klein and 7B for Qwen-Image 2.1, excluding text encoders. Its internal evaluation is context rather than an independent guarantee. Qwen Image 2.1 is already available on FastMoroAI. BFL source

FLUX 3 is BFL’s broader family, built around joint learning from images, video and audio; Klein is its compact image model. The foundation was announced July 23, 2026; Video became generally available August 4, Image launched October 1 and Klein open weights arrived October 15. Action also has open weights. Dev was described as a planned open-weights release in the initial family announcement. FLUX.2 is an earlier image-model family. BFL source
